War on Terror
During the fall semester (’06) Dr. Dan Mathewson’s Religious Extremism seminar spent several weeks studying the ongoing War on Terror. This unit of the course was a collaborative project with everyone in the class having a hand in deciding the specific scope of the study, the precise mechanics of analysis, and even the assignments that would be required. In the end the group decision was to produce a class podcast, geared toward a general audience, which would delve into the scope and complexities of the War on Terror. The following audio clip is the culmination their work. Accompanying the audio portion is a link to an on-line encyclopedia that was also the collaborative effort of the class. The encyclopedia gives more detailed information about some of the key individuals, groups and places associated with the War on Terror.
