Sylvia Rex

Folk Instrument Collection

Sylvia Rex, a native of Hungary, has long been interested in the development of folk instruments bearing striking similarity to one another through widely separated cultures around the world. Over the years she has amassed a large collection of these instruments and forms which echo one another across oceans and continents. During the spring of 2008 Mrs. Rex transferred a portion of her collection to Wofford College.
