Student Reading

The Wofford College Department of English attempts to teach students to read the important works of literature in English with understanding and appreciation, to understand the nature and use of language, and to write and speak with clarity and comprehension. To those ends, it offers courses in English, American, Irish, and comparative literatures, literary criticism, linguistics, history of the language, public speaking, technical writing, advanced composition, journalism, and creative writing.
